About our Presenter - Ms Juanjuan Ba (Carol)

Carol is a practising NAATI Certified Translator and Interpreter. She holds a Master of Translation and Interpreting and a Master of Conference Interpreting from Macquarie University. Before joining La Trobe University full-time, Carol worked extensively as a community interpreter and taught translation and interpreting at Registered Training Organisations (RTOs) in Sydney and Melbourne.

She currently manages programs that promote intercultural exchange and language education as part of the Educational Partnerships team at La Trobe University. Carol is also completing her PhD at Monash University, with research focused on intercultural competence and cultural intelligence in translation and interpreting.
